Rob Cross has been looking after customers’ boats on the River Yealm since 1989. He grew up at Bridgend and learned to repair boats when he was 11. At 16, he was Sailing Captain and Head of Cadets at Plymouth College, while also teaching at the sailing school. He later worked as an instructor and beach manager in Greece and Turkey before returning to the UK to continue his boat business in Plymouth and on the Yealm. After recently selling his business representing Beneteau and Jeanneau, Rob has more time for his passion for “buggering about on boats” on the river.
